Back in december i moved and left my computer to my brother. When i came back i saw he had put on lime wire and a shit load of virus and shit hit my computer. They have been cleaned off but the damage is done. For example, most picture folders i have cant be scrolled through without it freezing. So i was hoping to restore it back to before i moved. however i do not have a boot disk or anyway to get it back to normal.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndI'm pretty sure you're bogged down w/ a virus or spyware. The only real way to get a clean system is to FDisk or format your drive and reinstall Windows.But... you could always run some free programs such as superantispyware, spyblaster, Windows Defender, etc. They will generally scan your PC and remove anything harmful. While it won't necessarily fix the problem, it is a good place to start. But I highly suggest backing up all of your important pics/mp3s/files and just putting in your Windows disk and starting over.It will make your system run a lot smoother unless it's a hardware-related problem such as the RAM or bad sectors on your hard drive.
