I still remember sitting in the old "colonial" theater with my brother ( we sneaked in ) and watching ole Jason dart across that damn dirt road with his burlap sack on his head..... That stupid fuggin sheriff should of never followed him! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> Part 2 Rules. The best in my humble opinion. And honestly at that age when I saw it...I honestly didnt think the movie was cheesy at all. I was scared shitless. It wasnt until later did I get the whole cheesy aspect of these masterpieces...I love watching these remakes/retellings as much as the next guy.....but honestly FOR ME....they really do not hold a candle to the originals. Your right about one thing Larry....Nostalgia may be overrated but it is a strong force.....Cant deny that. True there are exceptions to the rule.......You named them....Carpenters Thing..........81's Blob.............and even more recent.......The Hills Have Eyes. That remake was awesome IMHO.I for one cant wait to see if this new JMan will be another exception to the rule...I certainly hope so!Part 2 is king! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> <img src=\"http://www.best-horror-movies.com/images/Friday-the-13th-part-2-pitchfork-small.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />
