You are right about the Dock scene. It does look like they are sweatpants, but it seems like they only used this type of pants (whatever type that would be) during the stunt scenes on the dock, because afterwards and all throughout the movie they look like some sort of workpants.
I used a pair of Ambulance driver pants which are like black cargopants and took the pockets off and done the above described weathering to it. After I had sanded and weathered them they looked exactly like the ones in the movie due to the soft cotton material of the pants. Whatever pair you are going to get I would go for a softer fabric because it won\'t look too stiff, that\'s why I recommended Dickies, they are sturdy, yet very light. Other brands like Big Bill or something like that tend to be too rugged for costume use. Just my two cents.
