Every artists is different and has different terms. Contact the artist you have in mind and communicate with him to see if hes interested in doing the project. Then get into the money terms. I know in my past commissions with an artist we have a nice arrangement. He makes me a peice, he keeps the mold,but if he sells any other copies he cuts me a percentage of the sale since I'm co owner of the mold. Ita a nice arrangement. Like everyone else said one offs are expensive but a group commission is the smart and cheaper way to go. Wow $500 for a one off commission.That is dirt cheap.
