Although I understand what you mean, I don't think it is the "givers" right to tell someone what to do with the mask once it's in their possesion. I'd simply ask that they inform you first before they sell it. At least that way they are being curtious. If they decided to split the profit, that's fine, but I wouldn't EXPECT it. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't let that get to me. Things come up sometimes, and we need money. However, if they were to sell it immediately after they recieved it, that's another story and could change my prospective on that person.
