I think that you are onto something here. 
As a an introspective and obsevational work I feel that you translated your thoughts VERY well. Your piece can be appreciate on many levels. Hey, remember, Stephen King threw his novel Carrie into the garbage, before his publisher convinced him to give it a second chance.
