I dated a girl for several years and she drifted away but I was still madly in love with her but she just no longer felt those same feelings for me. It's a VERY emotional time in life and one of the hardest challenges to get through. While I never have fallen out of love with her, the wounds heal and you learn to control them and stop reacting to them so much. But it takes a long time...took me years to truly get over it. But I'm now happily married to someone else and couldn't imagine my life without her now.
