although i really do like your desire in wanting to sculpt some nice pieces , pinhead is as close to the freddy character as you can get really . and by what i mean is that the pieces on the actors face are made for the actor themself so it looks just like them unlike sculpting a jason or myers . if anyone sculpts a freddy then step 1 should always be sculpt Robert Englund first and then add details and the same goes for pinhead . sculpt Doug and then go in with the details to finish him off . i know it's been said a million times and you and most others are sick of reading the same thing over and over but that's just the sad truth about characters like them . most sculpters ( first timers or beginers ) tend to rush into the detailing too quick as they are so curious as to how well their piece will look in the end and hope it looks as good as it did in their head before they started the project . sure you might be able to sculpt in the details perfectly but if the overall shape of the persons head is wrong then it throws the whole piece off . take your time with this one , fill in the cuts and rework his face to more of Dougs and then go back and finish it and i bet you'll be more happy with how it turns out after . mike, keep up the great work
