Dead Space was amazing. At first I was turned off by the dismemberment feature, but after playing the demo, I realized the developers nailed it. It adds to the challenge by forcing you to be precise with your shooting, while being attacked by multiple alien beings at once. That really ups the tension, as opposed to just pointing your weapon at an enemies body and pumping them full of lead. Dead Space is easily my favorite game of this gen.
