I'm a huge fan of riveting snaps to hockey masks. It makes them stay put FOR GOOD and they typically won't spin or come loose. The trick is to make sure your rivet is short enough not to stick out so far that you can't attach the "female" end of the snap back to the male. Then if it does end up sticking out too far, I just dremel it back....BUT! you must be VERY careful with this because you could easily melt the plastic with the heat generated while grinding.
