This is what someone said on mm.net forum.Could someone explain what a clay press is.I know its not an original sculpt. Is it more or less a recast of an original 75 kirk? By the way high price but both are nice.As long as everyone pays for limited runs we will see these prices. Not saying its not worth it to some people.....<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndA clay press is just that, a casting of a mask into which clay is poured to recover basically a sculpture identical the casted mask, which Bry edited and added the ears and all that to. And this is a pretty tricky issue. This certainly is a badass mask, but in no way should he be charging THAT much for it. I would understand somewhere around a grand, but two? It definitely shuts out all of the people who can no where near afford this piece, and makes it in turn even harder for them to obtain it given the inevitable after market value on such a limited run. Situations like this and the reaction of the community are just another reason I made the choice to bring the Leatherface fans the most accurate mask I could for only 200.. And there is way much more work going into leatherface than a kirk or myers. It is just crazy..
