It was a pretty good trilogy while Universal had the rights. Once dimension snagged them, it kinda went downhill. I even enjoy Bride and Seed quite a bit, too. Just not as much as the previous films....As for "cruddy" sequels, I actually prefer Childs Play 2 to the original. I can think of plenty of other horror sequals that were much worse. At least 2 picked up from the previous film with a good plot and featured one of the main characters from the first. A lot of times, that doesnt happen.
