That is what makes Freddy so unique, he is not just another silent mumbling serial killer behind a mask. My point is though if you are going to keep various elements of the look still intact, clothes, glove, burned skin, etc, why change the actor? Seems to me like they are just giving Robert the shaft. Without him there would be no Freddy to remake.
