"If they were going to keep the same exact look they may as well just have used Robert, kinda stupid. Otherwise change the look and different clothes etc." Are you kidding? If they would have put Freddy in a white wife beater instead of the signature red/green sweater, there would have been a mob formed to kill the producers of this flick. Thats like saying, Lets make a Jason without the hockey mask, lets use a clown mask instead. Wouldn't be smart.As far as these comments about Freddy being innocent ... GET A GRIP! Child molestors are sick twisted little pathetic pieces of crapola! It seems perfectly logical that they would whine beg and plead when they are caught. After all, they all claim to be innocent. Don't worry ... being an evil child killer is what makes Freddy FREDDY! As far as the make-up, since it is pretty much out there now, I have seen this make up runs back when they were conceived. I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! VERY realistic. I want a realistic, dark, perverted Freddy the way he was originally conceived to be. NOES 1 was AWESOME!! THAT was Freddy. Everything beyond part 2 became a joke (Pun Intended). I really cant sit down and watch any other NOES beyond 2. It distorts the original concept way too much. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ... they should have used Robert for this" THANK GOD THEY DIDN'T!!! It would have been another "Don Rickles does Horror" all over again. Robert brought us this great character and we will all love him for that. But, time to move on. New movie, new concept, and I welcome it with open arms. I cant wait to see a scary, serious demented Freddy again. Jackie is an AMAZING actor! I think his voice sounds GREAT! Sirbad - you of course are fully entitled to your opinion. I would simply recommend out of your loyalty to Robert that, when this new movie comes out, instead of going to see it, just pop in an old dvd of NOES part whatever and watch it instead. You have already crucified the new movie prior to even giving it a chance. Save your cash and keep a seat clear for me. (Hopefully you understand that was said light heartedly) Peace!
