Cool thread ... glad to see some other people are feeling what I'm feeling. I am starting to get burned out. I rent (and work) in NJ but I have a home in PA. I decorate the PA house for Halloween (lots of kids - trick or treaters - large audience , yada yada) I run a very unorthodox Haunted House, I set up everything on Halloween and take it down after the night is over. I don't wanna leave my costumes and props out over night being I am a state away...affraid of those golly gee willikers teenagers, always stealing and vandalizing what ever they can get their hands on! Needless to say it's very tedious, but I like it this way. I'm a budding filmmaker and i like doing Halloween like this because it's very similar to shooting a scene for a movie / short film. FOR EXAMPLE: I storyboarding a scene, setting up shop, shooting the scene and after it's done packing up and going home. There is a method to my madness.Unfortunately my brothers have other stuff going on this Halloween so I'm all on my own. Sketching, building, purchasing, and planning has all falls on my shoulders. I hate it but I also love it. If its a success it's because of me ... if its fails it also all on my shoulders. I am using this as motivation, to make this the creepiest halloween ever!
