Just because Robert "endorsed" Jackie doesn't mean we have to embrace him as the second coming.....As Drwynn stated, Robert didn't have much of a choice and is humble enough to not bad mouth the new film....<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndYou can't blame Platinum Dunes for not giving credit to Wes. Who knows... maybe they will in the film's credits. New Line is responsible for all of the marketing and who does what and whatnot. Platinum Dunes had to be chosen by New Line to do this remake. It's not like PD went in and did it themselves.Wes has said he didn't want to see it remade. But Robert said he would love to see a remake with today's technology and give someone else a chance to make their own spin on the character. He said that when he heard that JEH was chosen, he said it was a perfect pick for the role because Jackie's got the "chops" to pull off a great Freddy look and he's also smaller in stature and Robert always pictured Freddy being like an annoying ankle-biting dog that gets under your skin. If you say that Robert doesn't really mean what he's saying.. then calling him a flat out liar doesn't make him look very good either. With all due respect...
