The only thing that ever made sense to me as far as a reason why he didn't appear the way he was before being burned is, what if he can't? I mean what if he can only sustain looking pre-burnt for a short period of time? Maybe part of being who he is in the dream world is being the way he was the moment before he died because if it wasn't for his death, there would be no dream demon to begin with. That's just my two cents but it always made sense to me to think of it that way. Sure, he can turn back to normal if he wants but maybe it's too hard for him to stay like that, maybe it quite a bit of his power to do so. LOL, who knows, but I could theorize about it for hours.-Joseph
