1/4th Scale Part 4 Jason Bust Done!

I was absolutly blown away with Ryan's sculpt when I first saw it, still am! He put a TON of time and work into this piece and it more then shows. I was lucky enough to get a copy from him, a copy he called 're-jected' I laughed when I saw it in person, I've bought SEVERAL pieces that are claimed to be perfect castings, show up with a hundred times more flaws then this. I think that speaks very highly to Ryan's dedication to the piece, and his customer care, I can't recomend dealing with him enough. Thanks again buddy! So after a couple tiny skims with some spot putty he was ready to go for paint. After coming off of the Wastelander, I felt I could do no wrong. Ah humility, nothing like feeling like a total moron to bring you back down This was actually a fairly tough piece, not that it had to be, I more made it that way. I think I restarted the paint work 7 times on him, glad I use thinned acrylics, or it's just be an unrecogniseable blob of paint LOL I wanted to try and match the skin tones and shading in the movie, aswell as do Ryan's work justice. Little things mainly, a tone wouldn't come out the right hue, I'd burn through to the primer while doing a wash wet rub, etc etc etc. Finally though, I got it nailed down and am thrilled with the turnout! However, the fall from grace did not stop there. I had planned an elaborate display stand/base for the bust to sit on, a nice thin sheet of mdf with beveled corners, and his name engraved, or rather roughly carved into it painted in the movie poster red, also I had a Crystal Lake sign I made a stand for to really set things off. Came out awesome... almost. While uploading the pictures today, I found a glaring problem, I'm sure some of you will pick up on instantly. *sigh* All I can say is when you're on heavy medications and plan to do wood working, triple or quadruple check your work, then ask someone else to be 100% sure LOL Fixable problem, but not for a while.
