Like I was saying if you use an actor with a lengthy body and go for a creepy looking Jason, I think they'd be off to a good start. I don't dig built Jason. Jason is just some guy, he wouldn't have the resources to get huge. He's certaintly NOT a monster. He's a stalking homicidal maniac, with a mental disability and a mongoloid head. And as for liking the full appearance of Jason often in the film, I think it takes away any suspense from the kills. In an interview I read in fangoria for the upcoming Nightmare on Elm Street, I beleive it was Fuller who said "Friday the 13th was just a party for the fans." That film had nothing to do with the fans. The only people I know who were truly pleased by it don't even know the originals. Most people don't realize the style the originals set, they think you can just take the plot of Jason killing teenagers on a lake and create it in any way. Sure, that works for the average public movie goer, but the fans want more from these films.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEnddon't get me wrong ,I agree with some of these points, and I do appreciate and love the originals, but as a fan, and you know I am one of the biggest Jason fans there is, I really enjoyed the remake.I loved Dereks performance, the look of the suit(I have no problems with coats.lol) and the general idea.I do not like the score in any of the new films though.that i will agree on, and I do agree with you on seeing a bit less in the beginning, but as a costumer, I prefer suits that have more detail and impact, and I go to these flicks to see Jason so more is better for me.Now, aside from the movies but based on my own experience.when I work cons, and sport the 3 or 4 looks, I get a decent response, but man when i walk in wearing my 7, 8 and VS, it is a whole different ballgame. It is pure craziness, and that is what I thrive on, and this is what the public enjoys. And I am a Hodder fan, and I fit his image best, and no matter how many folks do not care for his portrayals they are the ones that grab the most attention.I am a big guy and will always be a big guy so wanting a smaller Jason is not in my mind set.To me Jason is a larger individual with a bad attitude, and no remorse, and truthfully a guy living in the woods eating nothing but protein, hoisting wood, and supplies and dead bodies constantly is going to be a bit built.not saying bodybuilder built, but bulky. The big mutant from Wrong turn is a great example!!Some individuals are naturally big genetically, and do not really have to work to get that way, and to me Jason is one of those individuals.Even Brooker, and White were not small guys by any means.so that is my take.Everybody is going to have their own opinions though so, to each his own.I am very open minded so I would enjoy seeing a different take on his body style , but as far as me doing the suits, small will never be in my vocabulary!!!lol
