The vast majority of paid film critics will give negative reviews to films like this. But what's also strange is that even some of the positive reviews get rotten tomato ratings. There was one reviewer that said that it's a good horror film but nothing more. That's what I expect. I don't expect an earth-shattering or revolutionary film with this remake. The story's been told before (though slightly modified). The concept is not new. So it will be very hard for CRITICS to enjoy this film because they are paid to dissect a film. This film is for the fans of the series. Most critics are not fans. Though they may call themselves fans, they are not... especially when they spell Freddy's last name like "Kruger" multiple times in the same story and refer to his sweater as "red and gray". Forget the critics...
