Anything of Japanese origin would be Do 道.I often see Kempos such as Shaolin-Karate which is very distracting(lol). There is no such thing, it's just a mix of both.We need the smileys and emicons back. Looks like were arguing.Ha Ha <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nuckledragger.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":nuckledragger:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nuckledragger.gif\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndNo arguing here my friend. I've been studying 30 yrs and was just promoted to 7th dan last month. I'm not a historian just a long time jutsuman. lolBut you are correct in modern usage of the term. But ALL japanese karate came from chinese origin, Then grew into what we know today as hard and soft systems. The term kempo is not used in Japan but is used in Okinawa as the term karate was not used until the early 20th century. It all comes down to a modern translation for old words. Keep up the good work.
