we tend to not use texture stamps.Its nowhere near the same quality end result then when doing it freehanded.have a look at (kens sculptinmg tools) website for idea on really good sculpting and texture tools.different texture is needed on different part of a face.i would also recoment you mark alfrey sculpting the human head dvd that gives great idea of the work needed tocreate realistic sculptures.hope this help
