It\'s sculpted to look like the wolf is emerging from the mouth, stretching it wide in the process. There\'s a movie where that\'s how the change from man to wolf takes place, but I\'m not 100% sure of the name. I think it was "Scary Tales" maybe. I haven\'t seen it since I was a kid and my older sisters dragged me with to see it. LOL
