it\'s not \'now\' it\'s always been that way. The only way you make money is traveling around and selling tickets and t shirts. You don\'t make crap on the cd. The lawyers, record execs, producers, marketing, publishing, manufacturing of the cds. All that junk gets eaten up quickly. Not to mention the studio usually advances you some money to buy better equipment to make a better sounding album, so you can actually sell a tons of cd\'s, and STILL owe the record company money.
Tourings the only way to make loot, and touring kinda sucks. If U2 charges 165 per ticket, it\'s because they can get it. Just like Barbera Striesand, (that twisted witch) from what I hear she charges hundreds per ticket.
U2\'s cool, I hated em as a kid, but they\'re growing on me the last couple years.
and if you make more then $165 a day, why ask us for help? lol.
Seriously, after my accident I get about $140. a WEEK! lol.
