I would not go with burlap, it\'s thick & flakes easily, what I did was I brought a photo of the apron to a fabric store, I had the lady help me find the right color & I made sure it was not to flimsy though, you don\'t want it to look cheap or see threw. I grabbed my material went home, did some cutting & a little sewing then I added dirt with the airbrush by using dark browns & yellow ETC, if you want blood you can always add that as well. I hope this helps a little.

Also Canvis is a good material but you will have to tea stain it to darken it or buy some dye, it is a very light color so you will definitly need to darken it.
