That actually is a real and legitimate business, believe it or not. It will and has worked every time, but, like everyhting else, there are \"catches\". You have to sign up for somehting like six of the programs advertised...they range from credit cards to magazine subscriptions. Then you have to refer 5 of your friends to do the same and you get your iPod.
Most every service can be cancelled without much problem, and the total payout is still waaaay less than the iPod. All it takes is some planning and as long as you keep on top of it (and have 5 friends willing to do it) you\'ll be listening to your iPod before you know it.
I forget what they are, but there are a few websites devoted to networks of people doing this. You can sign on and jump in on someone else\'s referral, and they will do the same for you. It helps speed the proces up. I haven\'t done it yet myself, but I am considering it.
