I\'ll start off by saying Im "taking offers" on this piece it\'s a very rare piece so me Selling it may take a nice offer. The condition of the mask:
Mask has been foam filled by Kelly Mann who also restored the neck line where there was rot. The mask was then painted by Terry Lambert (The hair is the Orginal hair with a Mix of new hair added to give it that Myers look)
The mask shows no signs of rot ANYWHERE since the restoration on the neck. Hears the history behind the mask...
This mask has more history then any other 1975 Captain Kirk mask or screen used for that matter.
This mask was made by Don post Studios in 1980 when they were contacted by John Carpenter to make the stunt masks (Ben tramer mask and the burn scene masks) for HalloweeN 2. Don Post agreed and him and Rob Tharp painted a handful of masks including the Ben Tramer masks. DPS sent these masks out to be used on set which I don\'t believe they were (besides the masks that were burned up)
When Halloween 2 came to a close in production John Carpenter takes one of the Kirk\'s made by dps and later gives it to Stan Gunhoe. The other later went to Billy Kirkus\'s
In 1984 the mask was bought by a man named Matt (this is the mask IM selling) Matt was told this was made for Halloween 2 by DPS studios themselves The Mask stayed with Matt all the way up until 2002 when it was sold to Chan warren. Warren held on to the mask for a short time and was sold to Chris Moffe for an undisclosed amount. Chris says there was some rot on the neck (this is VERY common...DPS masks made in the 70\'s rot very easily and every \'75 out there besides 1 or 2 has had work done in one way or another. This is One rare Piece. Not only being a \'75 Kirk, but actually being made for the film (Kinda a 2 for 1 )
Please do not respond to this with offers.
