I\'ll see if I can break this down.
Let\'s say a mask maker sells 12 masks and makes $1700. Now he has to make them. So 1 bucket of latex (for me) yields 12 masks. That bucket of latex may cost as much as $120 including shipping.
So now the profit is $1580.
The mask maker will work about 10 days to make the 12 masks. Your average \'non professional\' job will pay about $10 and hour. One work week will pay $400, now overtime for weekend will pay $300, that\'s 7 days. The remaining 5 days is another work week paying another $400 for total of $1100.
Making masks is a \'skilled\' trade, for that type of job you get paid more than a non skilled job. Also figure in the cost of boxes, tape, drive time to and from the post office, labeling the 12 boxes with your address and thiers, waiting in line at the post office, etc. Not to mention the fact that the maker offers you something that you cant find anywhere else on this planet, a specialty item. Your average mask maker has little to no social life and not much expendable income, if any. You think stuff is over priced? Think again. Mask makers give up a lot more than you could imagine. Be happy that these guys offer up what they do. Nobody makes masks to get rich
