She was a border collie with a ghost on her arse. She used to stare at you when you were eating and as soon as you looked at her, shed look at away at something else as if to say "naaa, I was'nt lookin at you son"

Sorry to hear it bro. In a world full of @$$holes you always know your pet is cool with you. They really are like a best friend. I would suggest grieve for a while and then look for another best buddy that will never take his place, but will begin a new chapter. RIP.

i know exactly how you are feeling right now . i lost my dog of 15 years not even a month ago and i tell ya , i can still see his shadow of where he would lay around the house . it's never easy but in due time you'll start to feel better day by day . it always helps to get a new one because for some reason it the house doesn't seem so quiet anymore after losing your dog . but i'm real sorry for your loss buddy . mike,

Thanks Havoc,Colin,Channard and Mike. And Mike,we still have our other dog Harry, the female bulldog. We're paying more attention to her then ever, which is important because out of everyone, she is struck the worst by this.

oh of course . my other dog Snowball and my cat shadow were looking all over the house for Copper after he was gone . they were wondering where he went to but couldn't find him . Shadow's doing ok now as he's playing alot with the puppy but Snowball is still kinda quiet and not doing much but i guess it takes some time .mike,

Sorry to hear it dude. I know how it feels. I just lost my Cocker, Molly, a few weeks ago. Actually, she stayed with my parents. She was about 16 years old! So she had a good long life. I can give you the same advice as I gave my parents. Get another dog as soon as you're ready! You'll both be happier! My pup, a puglet named Maggie just turned 7 months on Sept. 1st! I love her to death!Dave

Thanks mike,Dave and Shummy.I am taking comfort in knowing that he went peacefully. But what also softened it a little was that when my dad brought him back in after he had to pee,Sjakie looked me straight in the eyes, and I saw that he knew what was going to happen, and that he felt ready.I know dogs can't talk, but when he looked at me with those big brown eyes,I knew exactly what was in his mind.Moments before he went,he gave me one final wink.Man I'm getting all emotional here, heh.
