You are not supposed to see everything that is going on. That is part of the point of the movie. You are only supposed to know what the main charecters know. I loved it and thought it was the most intense film I've seen in years. Also it was very suspenseful without the use of suspenseful music. That is almost impossible to do.

i thought that was revealed to be a satellite dish that crashed into the water. Thus awakening the creature.

You're right, I just read that on Bloody-Disgusting. It happened so fast in the movie I just assumed.I stayed away from any websites talking about the movie before I saw it. Funny thing about that is; when I seen it for the first time I noticed it right away and told all my friends and not a single one of them seen it at all. The second time I seen the movie, I'm looking for it and missed it. Did anyone stay till after the credits; and hear the recording?

When it's not played backwards it says "Help Us" or something like that. I just love the way they marketed the movie. The very first time I seen the teaser (when Transformers played), everyone wanted to just no more about the movie we just seen! The viral campaign was pretty damn awesome as well if anyone followed that.
