I'll be buying Blu-ray from now on, but I'll probably only replace my favorite movies. The quality is great with Blu-ray, but I don't think it's good enough to warrant replacing all of my DVD's. I'm pretty discriminating when it comes to audio/video, but for my money, DVD's still look and sound just fine.

I'm sticking with my dvd's for now...first comes the new huge lcd tv, then I might start picking up select titles on blu-ray. I wonder how long it will be before something comes along that's better than blu-ray.

I have about 20 blu rays right now, and the only one I have double dipped on is the original halloween. I am glad I did though because the detail is amazing. When Tommy Doyle falls on the pumpkin and the bully kid gets stopped by Michael you can see all the flesh tones and how completely filthy his coveralls are. It's great. Other titles I will definitely be double dipping on whenever universal releases them will be the Jurassic Park films, as Jurassic Park and Halloween are my two favorite films, and then King Kong. Other than that I probably wont double dip only buy titles I didn't already have.

I recently bought a blu-ray player, and the picture of an uprezed DVD looks noticeably better. I bought clockwork orange on blu and played it, but it looked a bit better than DVD, on my TV (it's a tube). I think DVDs will do just fine until I can get a large 16:9 LCD screen big enough to enjoy the difference.Even if I upgrade, I'll probably only upgrade my favorite horror film series - Friday the 13th, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Evil Dead, and Halloween.
