I don\'t even know why that site exists, it\'s not like any of those petitions matter anyways. The makers of the film are gonna pick who they want reguardless of what anyone thinks.

True, New Line has never bothered to listen to the fans before, so why should that change now?

richard brooker is 2- 4 years younger then kane. and in a simi resent interview, said he would play jason again if he was human. and since the next film is a remake i assume jason will be human. the fan that started the petition, meet him at this year hautX and asked him if he would play jason and he siad he would love to., but like i said before dont sign if you dont want to.

Its still speculation about it being a remake right now. I like Kane in what he did, especially in 7. But I didn\'t like how he said Jason won\'t run again while he\'s playing him. He added a pissed off thing to him which was cool. But it was stupid to think, after having 7 different actors play Jason already, that you have the right to be him from now on. I still love Ted White (who is least likely to show up for a horror convention) as Jason because he was so brutal and uncaring about his victims. He was actually really scary. *cough* and he RAN!
Its a hard call about the whole remake thing, and if its not a remake, it\'s hard to make Jason a living human again because, as many people here think, Friday 1-6 is just kind of set in stone. When Part 7 came along, it really made a huge time gap from 6-7 plus just being so off the wall with a Jason vs. Carrie type thing going on. I guess the movies after 6 are just \'entertaining\' to me, whereas 1-6 are kind of like history haha. They definately hold that classic feel to them that really got away from Jason from 8 and on. I will still not own anything Jason X related, DVD or replica anything :biggrin: .
Anyway, I don\'t see a reason to sign the petition because of the link Martoch posted. Its not an official petition made by the studio, and signing on the internet is just text anyway. But its something to put hope in! hehe

we all know who will play jason and we all know new line has taken the character to a new level and will not keep the original story lines bascially reinventing it

Yeah, I didn\'t like him either. he moved and looked like Frankenstien. It migh\'ve been because of Ronny Yu\'s direction though.

Yeah, I\'m sure he could move better than that too. The Frankenstein thing is just not scary. Its kind of like how slow Godzilla would move through a city sometimes. Don\'t get me wrong, I\'m a huge G-fan, but still.
Also, as tall as he was in FvJ, it was just too over the top, and no, I\'m not referring to 80\'s armwrestling. Ken would be too tall at his height without boots anyway. Jason was never a giant, just a deformed guy of normal stature and some raw power.
