You can't "reason with" a favorite choice simply because it's more of an emotional one, rather than being grounded in rational decisions or whatever. I'm just glad a Jason fan actually liked JGTH enough to prefer it over others in the series, even though it's my personal least favorite. It felt more like a Nightmare on Elm Street kinda' thing to me, stretching disbeleif to infinity and beyond. I'm not a huge nightmare fan, beyond the first couple, so I guess that kinda' explains my feelings towards it.. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndThat was very well said, I like it! It's just one of those things at the end of the day, if there was no audience for any of these movies they wouldn't be out there. I never watched any of these films because of their proximity to reality but rather as a form of entertainment, others might think different. Hell it would be pretty boring if we all liked the same thing for the same reasons and as horror fans especially because we all love to disagree, lol.I guess I am just more partial to the evolution of slimy worm > woman's crotch > hockeymasked killer > magic dagger to the heart > killer in hell storyline rather than the kidnap victim > hide in secret underground lair > turn floodlights on to chase victims > die and get thrown back in the lake storyline. It's all in good fun and I just love reading other peoples views and opinions on these films that I grew up to love.

I can't wait for both versions. I was very happy with the reboot. I feel it is my favorite since part 6. Wich says a lot because I love em all even Manhattan, X and JGTH is my favorite of my least favorites. But I just feel this film worked as a way to start over. It had some bad points dialogue etc. but I got over that the second time watching it. But my gripe is finding the hockey mask under a tarp that the sack mask fell on. It could have at least been hanging up in the barn.

Had it been the barn from pt 3 with all the farm equipment in it and a hockey mask just happened to be in there that would not have worked for me.But how he finds it in the junk collection in the barn is a little to convenient."(Dern, I done gone and growed another head) my mask got ripped off.... let me pick it up of this tarp... (Dern, I done gone and growed another head) it's ruined.... oh what is that under the tarp right where my other mask fell"But other wise I enjy the new flick..... is it the greatest thing, not at all. But it could have been worse.

I wish the majority of the film was like the opening before the title screen, I just hate that he kidnaps the girl and has a secret lair that he would have to crawl or duck way down to move through it all, did anyone notice that when Jason jumps down into his lair that it goes barely past his knees? and then they cut it so they dont have to show him crawl or whatever to get over to them. The dialogue really didn't bother me at all, it was funny at times because it was cheesy but thats what made it kinda fun "your tits are stupendous!" that was a great line in the film imo. Jason movies should be fun, funny, gory and suspenseful...this movie lacked a lil in each category but it was better than JGTH and Jason X imo. I like watching Jason X as a funny, fun and ridiculous Jason film but JGTH just doesnt really feel like a Jason film to me simply because he has only about 10 mins of screen time if that. Either way I will be picking up the remake dvd so I can watch the alternate version to see if it was any better because the movie had potential, just some things I didnt agree with or particularly like.

R u guys serious ?? maybe its because Im 30 years old and grew up with the J-man but JGTH, Jason x, and VS. are 3 of the absolute WORST movies ever made. The remake is about 50,000 times better than any of these stinkers.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndYea I am.i'm 25 and I grew up with Jman as well. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />
