Sweet... I see that we share a few bands in common there Ryan.Sonata Arctica is the first power metal band I ever heard back in 2004 and it completely changed the way I listen to music.I ended up buying every album of theirs at the time - my favs being Ecliptica and Silence. Even though I'm not as intotheir latest releases Unia and The Days of Grays... they've come a long way and I can appreciate their amazing muscianship.I'm going to see them live for the 2nd time at the masquerade in ATL next weekend and I'm stoked. They'll be w/ Powerglove (old school Nintendo metal) and Mutiny Within.Easily one of my top 5 fav bands of all time.

I learned almost every lyric and sang a few of my favorite songs as a routine when I got home after every visit to the gym. They became so ingrained in who I am that I can't imagine living the last 8 years without them. As a matter of fact, I'm going to go on record by saying "The End of This Chapter" may be my favorite song in history. I've heard it thousands of times...It would not be far fetched to say 10,000 plays...Far more than almost anything else, for sure. It almost feels like a religious experience to hear it every single time, too.By the way, Unia is fine, but it is my opinion that their last *great* album was Reckoning Night. Silence may just be the best power metal album ever made, as far as I'm concerned.I'm soooo mad that you have seen them live!!!!! If Atlanta wasn't so golly gee willikers far from me, I would make the trip myself. One of my dreams is to see SA live...Hopefully I will get that chance sometime in the next couple of years.Since you have had similar appreciation for Sonata Arctica, I implore you to check out X Japan...They're one of Sonata's influences. (They're an influence to anyone who has ever heard them, honestly.) Be sure to read about them, and most importantly their drummer Yoshiki and former guitarist hide, as well...You're sure to delve right into them and never look back. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />Cheers,Ryan
