friday the thirteenth was a blur to me growing up, I remember seeing them over my grandmother\'s house, because she has \"the movie channel\" and was the first person I remember to have cable. BUT I had to switch it off every time someone came into the room. Thats as far back as I can remember, mostly I can remember Jason in the barn and hanging from the rope, and when the mask came off and you could see his face. SO I would have to say part three, I have no idea how old or what grade. Although I did remember seeing part two with jason\'s mothers dead head on the table. SO part two or part three, although if I saw part one back then I probably wouldn\'tt have known it was friday the thirteenth. SO yeah parts one two or three, and did I mention I have no idea how old I was or what grade I was in, but I was young enought so I cant remember. Maybe 8, 9, or 10. AND it was over my grandmother\'s house because she was the first one to get cable and the movie channel and MTV, but I had to switch to nicelodeon when somoenecame into the room, so parts oone two or three, but i do remember part four when the guy was watching the dirty video with the sexy girls doing aerobics, that did make my pee pee hard, so I don;t knwo how old that would have made me.

i guees i was about 7 or 8 and over at a friends house, he had a movie channel and part 1 was coming on and we were like oh shit we gotta watch this. So we sit there from start to finish and we talked about it most of the day about how cool it was. That was about 12 years ago.

i remember first wondering about them when i would go to the video store and see these movies with these badass covers on them.. the first time seeing them was in a marathon when they used to come on channel usa. some hot blonde was hosting the show B) .. anyway, the first one i ever saw was part 1.. at the end i remember going.. where the hell is jason.. then bam, out of the lake.. i was like shit!! then part 5 came on next, which confused me because i hadn\'t seen 2-4 yet.. so i was like... hmm jason wears latex with a Hockey Mask, however one thing i remember about it is, during the scene where the restaurant chick is getting ready for a date w/ the medic dude, i remember usa editting that part wrong because i sure did see some naked....lol hm, that was maybe 88 or 89. gotta love watching horror movies as a kid.

Ok, I guess I am officially the Old Fart here at 40. I\'ve been with the J-man since the very beginning. I went to the first Friday the 13th in the theater (back then, movie\'s were pretty cheap to go to), and was hooked. Granted, it was alot like all the rest of the slasher flicks back then, but when the sequel came, I was there. And on, and on, and on. I think part 3 sticks out in my mind more than any of them, cause it was in 3-D, and having to wear those glasses OVER my normal glasses sucked. But it wasnt half bad, cause I was baked out of my skull (*WARNING* BULL DOES NOT ADVOCATE THE USE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS *WARNING* cough cough)!
But yeah, I\'ve been watching the movies in the theaters (EXCEPT FvJ) from the very beginning.

I was 6 years old when part 1 came out and my dad took me to see it. He always took me to see good horror flicks. Of course it scared me cause mrs. Voorhees looked like this woman who lived down the street from me. After part 2 came out was when I really got into Jason. I made a pillow case mask with blood and would run around with it and scare my sister and her friends when she had slumber parties. Luckily, I\'ve had the privelege os seeing all the movies in the theatre.

I think part 1 was the first Friday flick I saw... It was on tv one night and I went in the basement to watch it in the dark...I was around 8 years old or so. I kept running upstairs during the commercials \'cause I was scared....lol. Like Dan, I was renting horror flicks by myself since around 8 or 9 years old, though it all began when I was 4 and saw Halloween the first time it aired on tv in 1981.

Friday the 13th part 3 was the next, I believe. I rented that at age 9 with a friend. We were alone in my house watching it and at the part where the woman in the robe at the beginning sees Jason disappear outside the window, my brother jumped through our screen door with a hockey mask and scared the friggin\' hell out of us. Since then it;s been a blur...I ust kept renting them all over and over again. I got to se part 7 and 9 in the theaters though, which was cool as hell. I also saw part 3 in 3D in the theater (a couple years ago at an art house here).

It is funny to me when I hear people on these boards talk about seeing the later ones (JGTH, FvJ) as their first Friday films...only because to me, these experiences feel like they were yesterday and I forget just how many years have gone by since I was a kid watching these things...especially because I still do the same thing now that I\'m older, married, etc... I mean, the earlier Friday flicks had only been around maybe a year or so when I was watching them. To me, JGTH still seems like a \"new\" Friday film...and it came out 12 years ago. Weird. Anyway, sorry for the rant...it\'s early...

I saw pt. 1 when I was in the first grade, my mom rented it for me. I was hooked from there on. Right after that Halloween got to my way on VHS. I forget what movie it was that I saw in the theatres....it was one of the earlier f13ths.hm...it will come to me eventually.

Man, I dont feel old now. I was in Kindergarten when Pt. 6 came out on tape, and it too was the first Friday I saw. The ressurection scene when J opens his eye freaked me out, but I couldn\'t stop watching.
