I think it was well directed and well executed. However I can\'t stand the "Devil Reject" characters themselves. Plus at times it seemed like the dialogue was writted by an ignorant 12 year old. How many times can you say "fuck" before it crosses the lines of extreme tediousness. I liked the sheriff and was rooting him on when he was dishing out his vengeance. Plus I found it funny when the bikers came in and whooped their asses. As for sympathy for the family? Are you kidding? They got off way easy.

There is one seen that I loved in the film though, the beginning. I was brilliant, just how much the family planned on what they were doing. It was a special treat to see P.J. Soles in it! Smile

I don\'t know. Maybe you should ask Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Robert Rodriguez, Oliver Stone, Guy Richie or any of the other directors/writers who apparently have the minds of ignorant 12 year olds Tongue Tongue Tongue

Quote:To be honest, (and you can call this an opinion) I dont know if I would classify this movie as a horror....it doesnt have all the same elements to me...

But hey, Im not sayin I didnt like it, its one of the best movies I seen in a loooooong time.

I understand why someone would think this isn\'t a horror movie, but it\'s a horror movie in the same way that..."I Spit on Your Grave", or "The Hills Have Eyes", or "Last House on the Left" were horror movies...it\'s just a terrifying experience...not necessarily monsters and creatures and all that, but some very terrible folks doing some scary things...I just don\'t dig the gun molestation too much...yucky...

I think the Sheriff should have got tied up and tourchered. and I also think the 2 bikers should have gotten killed.

This movie was sick and sadistic!!! Rob Zombie fucking brought that to a great point! The Characters had so much depth to them, I mean they were fucking great actors! They really seemed like psychos! Sheri didnt an execelent job with her part. Just singing to the hotel guests on the bed...the japanese chinese, dont you like these thing, made it insanley great!!!! I loved the movie, thought it was very well made!!! I give 4 stars!!!

Sheri Moon Zombie has a great ass also

I wouldnt go as far as saying people don\'t like it because they don\'t get it, there\'s not much to get, its a very weird an sadistic film and I understand why people wouldn\'t like it. But I happen to love it and think a lot of old school horror fans would like it if it came out in the 70s. And I also don\'t get people saying this isn\'t gory, this is probably the most graphic movie thats been out in a loooong time.
