I would say it's the Hero with older weathering. You can still see some of the details that only existed on the original Hero. The larger rivet on the middle finger, you can see the broken index blade, the larger rivet on the finger joint of the index finger, the small downward hump on the bottom of the copper on the middle finger just below the rivet. Definitely the same glove.

The only thing that looks different in this photo, aside from the additional weathering, is the lower rivet on the pinky, maybe it hadn't been swapped out yet.

Is it just me or does that photo look to be elongated? The finger stalls look awfully long in that image.

I have thought the same.I think in this photo the glove looks more elongated than it is really. And I have thought in other thing: If you look at the blades, you can see that the glove from the screen cap doesn't have sharpened edges and the glove found has the same kind of blades. I have thought since the beginning that the glove found is the same that the glove from this screen cap. But, really the original hero glove was sharpened, right? What do you think about blades?

i know the part 1 glove is very old (25 years old) and has a lot of ageing because of all those years, but there is still one thing i still don't understand: why are all the 8 ringlets cutted half way off??? for what reason???i mean you can see clearly that the ringlets are cutted halfway and not completely removed/or fallen off because of the soldering structure age.there are still half pieces of the ringlets on the inside of the finger pieces.check here that you can clearly see that on the finger pieces the ringlets are still there but they are half ringlets and the other half of the ringlets is cut off:http://entertainment.ha.com/common/view_im...r%27)%5d%26sink

They may have even slightly adjusted the edging on the backs of the blades as well.

They all look sharp to me. The edge you're probably looking at isn't a flat edge... it's the blade on the middle finger just barely showing behind the ring finger's blade.

You'd have to be extremely stupid to do that. Maybe they did it for the part 3 teaser trailer (which you can see on youtube). It looks like they might have done that so the glove fit on the mannequin hand...I don't know. Whatever the reason, it really pisses me off.If I owned the glove, I would seriously consider having it restored (new ringlets, leather glove, and possibly removing the black splatter paint with a new finish). I think I'd offer Lou some cash to do it himself to keep it as authentic as possible.

Can't imagine how much he'd ask for to actually try to restore it.

Good point. Actually I'd really consider having you do the restoration also. Even though Lou made the original, you obviously have alot more experience with glove building. Therefore, you'd probably be less likely to screw up and have one of the blades fall off when heating the armature. If that happened, and the original blade's solder pattern was destroyed, I'd probably faint and commit hari kari with the blade that fell off upon awakening.
