Some of the comments are losing me... Don\'t beat around the bush, just say it. I need observations and opinions from other on THOSE observations... Youre not going to hurt my feelings Wink
I\'m having a good time with this and it makes it even more fun having you guys follow along with me as I create this. Teeth, eyebrow lumps, what else?? Explain these for me.

    Just a side note:
I\'m not sure how well a Hockey Mask will fit this. I\'m sculpting it almost double size to be shrunk down for the prouction molds so I cant just put a Hockey Mask on it to line things up Sad

Jeeze, that\'s come a long way Mark, great job working in the suggestions. Ryan hit on something, that little grin he\'s got going, really defines the character, I think you\'ve got it pretty well dead on now, maybe a tad sharper. Oh, and for the expression, pretty good on the whole, but I always saw Jason in that scene going for quiet desperation, he wants Trish and Tommy dead, it\'s the bain of his existance, the perverbial torn in his side. But wait, how can he destroy his own visage? Tommy becomes the embodyment of Jason\'s former self, a reminder of a past long gone Jason strives to recapture. So you can see his conundrum, I think that carried over into the scene. Either that, or Ted had a real heavy lunch and was waiting for \'cut\' to go drop a major load. Either way.

I just did that pic for the fun of it Mark! Tongue
One thing I\'ve noticed is, you may need to bring the forehead up (moved forward) a little bit to match how far out the eyebrow bone comes out. Also, the axe mark needs to be moved over to the right some to match a hockey mask when it eventually gets there. I love how deep the axe cut is though, and you\'ve got the shape of it, just need to move it over some.

Wow Trav, thats a great interpretation of that scene. He had a despairing look when he turned around to Trish, didn\'t he? Like he also knew that he had fallen for a trap.

Anyway, sorry Mark, back to the mask.

The teeth may just be please holders but the mouth on the right side doesn\'t look right, lip doesn\'t react like it would with the teeth being bared.

This shows what I mean about the eyebrows. Just a bit less gnarly.

Well, I\'ve compiled a few pics for your viewing pleasure. I have no idea if you have them or not...But nonetheless, here they are.

There\'s not much I can say in words because seeing is believing for me. You just have to know that it\'s right.....and when it is, you can photograph your sculpture from any angle, and it will look just like any pic from any part of the movie. That\'s perfection at its best!

Right now, the biggest thing you need to worry about is the axe cut, and where to put it. As Adam said, I think it\'s a little too off to the right of the head. The mask\'s axe cut wouldn\'t allign very well with it at this point, methinks.

The left eye also needs to look a bit angrier. One of the main things that no one ever gets right about that sculpture is how each side of the sculpture is almost a complete 180 change from the other......one side is sad, smooth, and droopy, almost like Jason had a giant stroke...The other is really evil, wrinkly, and grinning.

That nose needs a lot of work and refinement. Pay close attention to the profile of the nose and how it slopes. It\'s not pointy in the least. It would be wise to consult an actual picture of Ted White when working on the nose. The nostrils on your sculpture are a bit too...I want to say they\'re too wide, but I\'d need to go back and forth over pictures and I don\'t have time to do that. So I\'m just going to post this and hope I\'ve made the right assumption. =P Especially watch out for Jason\'s left nostril and how it combines with the "grin" on the same side. It seems to slope along with it.

I\'d work on Jay\'s right jaw line, too. Although droopy, the droops are very prominent (there are two dips before it reaches the chin) and you need to pay close attention to those.

If these pics don\'t help, then I\'m sure I have some more lying around here somewhere.

    Mark, use this!

Btw, thanks for those images, terminallunch! One thing though Mark, don\'t compare too much of your sculpture to the b&w pic of Jason. Remember, this is just the dummy head and the sculpture pics around it (posted by t.l.) will work for proportions. You\'ve got the face, just work on those selected areas bro!

    Wonderful comparison pic, Adam!

I just noticed something else while looking at it.......The left (Jay\'s left) cheek of Mark\'s sculpture is WAY too small...It seems to flare outward a lot before it extends back to the ear, as the shadow in the on-set pic would indicate. In fact, the shadow on that whole side of the face makes for a great 3D comparison when sculpting. Maybe that\'s another reason why no one\'s ever nailed that lop-sided look to Jay\'s head in part 4.
