or has anyone else had the experience of bidding on something on eBay that noone has had any interest in before on auctions for the same item or items just like it until you bid on it, then the price just keeps going up and up? Whats worse is I\'m being outbid by someone with 0 feedback.

I\'ve had a few of them like that. If I get outbid once I\'ll redeem myself. If it happens a second time in the same auction, I\'ll let him take the win. 9 times out of 10, it\'ll be back up a week or so by the same seller.. <_<

What I hate is these eBay sellers that register a new name w/ (0) feedback and shill bid their own auctions up to look like the item is worth more than it is. Then they use 2nd chance to sell to the 2nd highest bidder thinking they\'re real slick by upping the price. If someone legally outbids me then so be it. I just hate scammers!

You need to use a sniper.

I approach all auctions the same way. NO bidding until the last 10 seconds. I figure that I know exactly how much I\'m willing to pay for the item and there\'s no point in putting in a maximum bid until then. That way, this BS of back and forth bidding doesn\'t have time to occur.

It will give you 3 free snipes, then you have to pay a very very small percentage of the winning price, or you could invite others to be members and earn free snipes. I usually set it to place bids in the last 5 seconds.

no, it wasnt that auction, but i was the high bidder on that one to but i was glad i got out bidded cuz i really didnt have the money for it. so if you out bidded me thanks.
