I bought this mask for a costume for a so so haunted house last year. I cut out all the latex face parts and such. For the hair this is gonna sound weird but it worked... I don\'t have the pics anymore but showed them to a couple people and they liked it.

I first ripped the wig off and cut it in 2 parts where that stitched up part would show. I then reglued them on there but backwards kind of like having the long hair going in towards the center of the head instead of out. When I did that I was able to slick the hair back with styling get and it looked pretty normal.

I also cut out alot of the back of the mask so it woudl fit tight and restiched it with real leather chord, so I\'m not sure if making it smaller helped the over all effect.

ok, imo you do not have to replace the hair, what you can do it cut it down evenly to about 2 inches or however you like it, get rid of that fro!
once you do that, add baby powder into the hair and dont be shy! this gives it an eerie almost grey realistic look. Be careful not to use to much tho and it will take out the shine if you do the right amount (you dont want a shiney and fake look). You can also add a little hairspray and style it to a way that you like it
    take care,
    Nick
