I\'ve had a few stones for the past couple of years and my pain always starts in my back. Get to the doctor so you can at least get some meds. Try drinking at least one lemonade a day, watch your (dark) soda intake, and if you take vitamins, don\'t take more than 1000 mg af calcium or vitamin c. Best of luck, hope you feel better. I wouldn\'t wish kidney stones on my worst enemy.

My father, who was a physician, always said, "Don\'t look for a zebra, when a horse would do."

Point is, unless there\'s some specifc reason to assume that your pain is caused by kidney stones, I\'d look elsewhere.

Like Fang said, see what else develops...if it is just minor pain...sit through it and see how long it lasts. If in dire pain, then see a doctor. But so much backpain varieties can be caused by a million things other than calcium deposits in your kidneys.

FYI - for those worried about getting kidney stones, avoid nuts, dark-colored sodas, and high amounts of sugar.

I had sciatica, a back pain caused by a pinched nerve. I hurt it just by moving a mattress. Your back can be hurt in so many ways you don\'t even often think about.

What area of your back is it? I\'ve got some lung problems, I get pnuemonia pretty much every spring and I get a really sharp pain that feels like its deep in my back. Either way goto the hospital man.

Anyway, I have copmressed L4 and L5 discs and know about back pain. If it were me, I\'d go to the doc and just get check out.

Or, I can get the tazer out and see if we just can\'t get you thinking about something else! Tongue
