    im gonna take some new photos of my mask collection and im no Spaz when it comes to photography. so heres my best effort, tell what ya think of these two different styles of photos or what ya think of the pics in general.

    I\'d go with the second style. The intensity of the light in the first set washed out the detail on the lower half and kind of obscures the top half in shadow.

    For catalogue pics the second set is the way to go but the first can work great too, just move the light source a little further away and you\'ll get some great shadows to bring out the highs and lows and give the piece some \'mood\' :wink:

    thanks for the feedback and suggestions, might take some more to tomarrow and see what i can come up with, im leaning toward the second set, but maybe trying a lower watt bulb.

    i prefer the second style daniel the light is better the details of the mask is perfect :wink:

    I would recommend trying to take some pics after making the light a little less "direct" like the way they make lights in photo studios with the little umbrellas...maybe get some fabric that isn\'t very opaque and stretch it over your light fixture...just to keep the room illuminated but not shine directly on your mask. Give that a whirl. And Generally the best type of light you can get is natural light outside, but I know how cool it looks when you see masks with a black sheet crumpled up in the background. Just keep messing around with it and you\'ll get it bro!

    Thanks for those comments, i think im going with this pic, i lowered the watt of the bulb and moved it back aways
