Though I\'m a huge Halloween fan, my love for the movies stops at part 5, which, that one os more nostalgic to me than anything. After that they went way downhill IMO. Part 6 had its moments, H20 was \"ok\", and part 8 well, I don\'t even want to start...
So, in my mind, there hasn\'t been a real \"Michael Myers\" flick for a good 18 years (going back to part 4 whch I think was a decent sequel). Having said that, I think the series needs a swift kick in the balls if they are going to keep going with it, which, was always the plan it seems. And rather than have another piece of crap made just to have a \"Halloween\" movie in the theaters, I commend Malek Akkad for deciding to go a different direction on this one.
I\'ll take my chances with Rob Zombie. I don\'t necessarily want to see a remake or a prequel, but I do know he does solid work and that his heart is in the right place. That\'s enough to make me have an open mind about it.
