After all of these years...I finally had to get stitches the other day caused by a tin can. I about passed out from all of the blood. My dad said, "I dont see how you watch all of those horror movies and just about pass out from seeing that." ... Big Grin

Congrats! :teehee: Never had stitches, but I got a long list of injuries.5 concussions in 3 years, several gashes in my head,a load of cuts, cut my left ring finger open to the bone, broke and dislocated my little toe, busted my lip open in a fight, cut my lip by accident, several burns, infections and the like, and God knows how many bruises. Oh and broke my nose once.
I have a ritual called \\\"terminator\\\". I crouch in the shower in the \\\"naked terminator\\\" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

since you haven\'t gotten stitches before... you don\'t really need to return to the doctor to have them taken out... you can just cut them and pull them out yourself.
I have gotten stitches many many times, and have never made that return visit.

Nice looking sutures, you had a good doc. I\'ve never gone to get stitches, should have a few times, but I\'d rather not sit in a hospital for 7 hours, then another 4 when I get in. Gary\'s right, all you need is a small pair of sissors and tweazers, snip the stitch, and pull it out, then soap and water, some antiseptic, and you\'re set.

frodosexual -full credit to Jeff aka creamedgeezer for that.
