Ok, here is the start of my Part 1 sculpture. I know this is the best place to show this for critiques, and i want to get this one bang on, so please be polite, but let me know what you feel needs attention. I\'m having trouble with the eyebrows, they look different in every ref picture i have, but i\'ll get onto that next.

Note that only the front is done, i\'ll be adding side and back views when i have the face down. The pics are the same angle but in different light sources.

Also, i have some pics of the original Hero both being worn, held, and sitting on something... the neck appears to distort and looks a lot thicker when it\'s resting on something so i felt the best thickness would be obtained by going off the pics of it being held and worn.

    Thanks guys.

Thanks, but i really don\'t feel it\'s accurate enough just yet, theres more to do and i know there\'s some hardcore fans here who will tell me what needs to be altered. I really want to get the essence of him perfectly if i can Smile

Here are some pics of other sculpts that you should use for reference:

Use those for reference, and you\'re good to go! :woot:
I have a ritual called \\\"terminator\\\". I crouch in the shower in the \\\"naked terminator\\\" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Thanks for the help, and it is appreciated, i really wanted to avoid looking at the sculpts of others right now though because i want to do something just by using the original as reference. I know those are awesome versions, but i would want to ask the permission of their sculptors before using their pictures.

Mainly critiques and advice are what i want at this stage, i can see from glances of those pictures, they seem to have gone for a thinner look where mine looks chunky in comparison.

    ***Edit***

I noticed you just added to the pics you posted, that last one looks great, thanks Smile

Don\'t mention it man. Smile The Hero mask is hard as heck to recreate.Just some simple tips:

Make the nose long, fat near the bottom, and slightly crooked.

Make the face long, and give the mouth a slightly open look.

Work on the eyeholes more, the eyeholes really make or break a Myers mask.

The challenge here is to make it look like a Kirk mask, but stretched out.

Thanks so much, that\'s excellent. Well it\'s getting late here, so i spent another half hour on it. The jaw needs slimming down and the top needs some bulking up, but it\'s starting to get there i think. I\'m basing it more on your last photo (not the touched up cover art version, the last actual photo).

Nose and lips also need more attention, but the placement is nearer now Smile
