Yeah, He-Man was my ultimate favorite growing up. I used to get up early every morning to watch it before school. I still have all the figures and vehicles...I even have She-Ra Smile

That was a great montage but missing were shows like:

    SilverHawks
    ThunderCats
    M.A.S.K.
    Gummi Bears
    Smurfs
    Snorks

However it did capture the essence of what it was like growing up in the 80s...cereal was never so sweet when enjoyed in front of your favorite cartoons on a lazy Saturday morning...gone are the days of staying in my jammies until afternoon. As soon as Small Wonder came on, I knew it was time to shower and get dressed Big Grin

I\'d like to see a collage of the comercials from that time Retrojunk has a few and they take me back just as much as seeing those show openers. Damn, I wish I could go back in time...

Oh yeah, those rocked! The Hulk was my favorite evening show as a kid. Here are some others I loved:

    Street Hawk
    Dukes of Hazzard
    Buck Rogers

Another cartoon they forgot was JEM....not that I was a big fan, but hey, it was a Saturday Morning Cartoon Smile

A couple other shows I liked were:

    That\'s Incredible
Ripley\'s Believe It or Not (Jack Palance, baby!)
Incredible Sunday (I think that\'s what it was called...spin-off of That\'s Incredible)
    Amazing Stories

Ya I remember bravestarr. M.A.S.K. was an awesome show with a killer theme song. Now I have to go hunting for M.A.S.K. toys on Ebay. Here\'s a great site for 80\'s shirts

Blackstar came out a few years before He-man and flew around on the cool looking dragon. I just cant remember what the sword was called...I just know that he had half and the villian( I think he was called the "Overlord") had the other. Bravestarr was an awesome show too. I always like the bad guy on that show and thought he reminded me of Slim from House 2

YES i remember thinking the same thing when i was younger about the guy from bravestar, i can remember countless hours with me playing the the western village playset, my mom was a picture feind so she has all these pics of me at christmas and that particular picture my jaw is dropped....I remember on Blackstar they could not use the term troll or hobbit since LOTR was popular then and troll was locked up with those treasure troll things so they combined the two, Trobbit. i still have some of those figures. The complete series just came out on dvd not too long ago from the same people that released the He-Man dvds.

    ahhh good times.

For the younger crowd they\'ll have NO idea what Saturday mornings were like back then. No cable tv, no 24 hour cartoon channels, no VCR\'s to watch tapes. We literally LIVED for saturday mornings as it was the only time to see cartoons at all. Life seemed so very much simpler back then.........................Larry
