Thanks Wayne and everyone,She is doing ok thank god. They managed to clear the bloodclot fast and if they can do it fast enough, the patient is usually ok so they tell me. She has regained the use of her arm today so she's improving for sure. Yesterday, the whole of one side was completely non-working.I haven't lived there for years and i'm the only child, i was married at 17 so that's when i left home, divorced at 25 and with my current lady from then. My dad died in 1995 from cancer so she lives alone. She's always been the independent type and when she was working, she was a nurse, ward sister, accident and emergency nurse etc over the years. She knows what a stroke can do and it's one of the things she feared worst. Luckily, she was out shopping with a friend when it happened to her and she was taken straight to hospital. The whole of her right side was completely unresponsive. From my understanding today, they are expecting her to make a nearly full recovery because they caught it in time... the regained use of the arm on that side is a good sign that she will be ok.Thanks again for your concern guys <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />
