Around 9:40 AM,my dog Sjakie was put to sleep. He was suffering from fluid stuck behind his heart that kept blood from pumping enough through his hindlegs. This, plus his respiratory problems,it was only a matter of time before he would suffocate. So we had him put to sleep. He was 9 years and 10 months. He meant the world to me.He was my best friend and always will be.<img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/tomthedutchman/DSC00520.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/tomthedutchman/DSC00484-1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />1997-2007 <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Sad\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sad.gif\" />
I have a ritual called \\\"terminator\\\". I crouch in the shower in the \\\"naked terminator\\\" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

I'm sorry. At least you spared him from suffering. It will get better with time...

Sorry to hear that, bro. I agree with the above poster, at least his suffering has stopped. It's always hard when you lose a furry best friend. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Sad\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sad.gif\" />

Thanks you guys.I never had anyone pass away that I was close to,so this strikes me hard.I feel like a part of me is gone and will never come back.Having to put your deceased friend in a case to go to a crematorium is emotionally one of the toughest things I ever did.

I hate that for ya brother, I really do. I remember when my little guy Gizmo died, it tore me a part and I cried all day over it.-Joseph
