Ok, so I know nothing about painting at all. I couldn't afford to have someone paint this mask up for me, so I tried to do it myself. I've obviously used the wrong type of paint on foam latex. I used a latex based spray for the base coat. Testor's model paint for the detail. Anyway all of the paint around the neck is cracking and peeling off. What the heck do I do now?? Aside from that....how does it look?<img src=\"http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/misfit_jason/IMAG0023.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/misfit_jason/IMAG0023.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/misfit_jason/IMAG0022.jpg[/img]<img src=\"http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/misfit_jason/f.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/misfit_jason/IMAG0024.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/misfit_jason/IMAG0030.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/misfit_jason/IMAG0031.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

there really is no way to get paint like that to stay....it has to be latex based in order to have some flex to it...there is just no way around it my friend....the paint scheme and job itself look really cool though?...and where did ya get that foam latex fred from anyway?Tommy

Thanks Tommy, I actually got that from someplacein England. Can't remember the name of the site though. Do you think if I put a couple coats of liquid latex on it that would keep it from cracking?

it will continue to crack...but with the coats of latex on top of it, it probably won't flake off anymore. Also realize though that the more latex you put on it, the less breathable and movable the foam latex will become....Tommy
