Been playing with this one between snow-plowing.This will basically be a 'tribute' to Ken Hertlein's RARE mask, as I've seen it a couple of times in person, and just absolutely love it. I have some 'home-video' footage of it which I'm using, along with the pictures available in the gallery for reference.Ken actually wants me to send him some pics when I'm further along with it, to give me his opinion.I'm also using the 'closet' scene as a refernce for this guy.A lot to do still. Thanks guys for the positive feedback.Yeah, I'm pretty pumped about this piece. I've wanted to do a mask that was a tribute to the RARE for awhile now. Of course, I'm also throwing in my own personal touch on this sculpture, as well as using the 'closet' scene for a reference. There are things about the RARE that Ken has said are 'off', so I'm taking that into consideration.Dan, I've seen it both at the Con when Ken gave it to Dick back in 2001, and of course, at DW's house back in '02 (where I also saw the HERO mask before it was sold).It looks 10 times BETTER in person. Just unreal to look at. H1 ALL THE WAY. I've seen this baby from every angle, up close and personal, which is why I decided to tackle it, as I know that this is a mask that has only been seen by a few people, and there are so many that would love to see more of it.I hope everyone likes the 'finished' piece.-A
